Hello, in this video I share my first real attempt at using the AK Interactive Quick Gen Paints. These are said to be used in the contrast method, similar to speed paints, Xpress, and other contrast paints. Are they truly worth the hype? Do they save time, and are they the ultimate solution for painting miniatures? One coat and done, beginner-friendly, and faster painting—can they really deliver? TLDR: Nope! They take skill to use and likely to master. They’re not the ultimate cheat in the miniature painting world, but they can help achieve better results. Still, relying solely on these paints feels a bit hollow to me. I plan to use them over existing base colors to add modulation, visual interest, and as glazes.
