This Simple Trick Changed My Scratch Building Forever
Learn how to bend styrene rod perfectly using simple heat—no special tools needed. In this video, I use this technique to scratch build details on a Tamiya SdKfz 222. In previous videos, I showed you how I detailed the gun, turret, and interior. In this video I focus on the exterior of the hull and make some really cool details with bent styrene rod. Above all I want to emphasize that I'm doing this for fun. I've heard several times that life is too short to build sub-par kits. I reject that sentiment whole-heartedly. I don't want to let any preconceived notions keep me from doing my thing. For more on how I've detailed the rest of this old Tamiya Sdkfz 222, check out my earlier videos.
