NKP Berkshire No. 759, 1969-1971
Nickel Plate Road Berkshire No. 759 came out of retirement in 1968 to handle excursions for Ross Rowland's High Iron Company, a job it did superbly until its second retirement in 1971. I was just a kid with an Instamatic Super-8 movie camera, a tripod and a cassette tape recorder when I captured these images and sounds of 759 on some of its New York-New Jersey-area excursions. They've waited 45 years for me to digitize them and put audio and picture together for the first time. Enjoy.
