However, his remarkable ministry is rooted in a profound childhood tragedy that tested his family's faith. Born with full sight, Mulani's life changed dramatically at the age of four when he contracted a severe case of measles. After suffering from a soaring fever, he collapsed, prompting his mother to rush him to the hospital in a desperate bid to save his life. There, doctors administered a quinine injection. Tragically, the medication—suspected to have been either expired or heavily overdosed—permanently destroyed his vision. Devastated by the sudden loss, his parents searched desperately for a cure. Out of sheer heartbreak and determination, they even asked doctors if they could transplant animal eyes to restore their son's sight. But the damage was irreversible; the medical team confirmed that the optic nerves and blood vessels connecting to his eyes had completely died. Despite the immense challenges of growing up without sight, Mulani refused to let his circumstances dim his purpose. Today, he stands as a vital and joyful force in the Ugandan gospel music industry, transforming a personal tragedy into a powerful, lifelong testimony of resilience and faith.
