白いロマンスカー「VSE」が道路を行く 老朽化で2023年引退もミュージアムで一般展示【知っておきたい！】【グッド！モーニング】(2026年3月19日)
Watched over by many railway enthusiasts with cameras in hand, it slowly moves along the road in the middle of the night. This is the Odakyu Electric Railway Romancecar "VSE," characterized by its white, streamlined design. It served for 18 years as a sightseeing express train to Hakone, one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts, but retired in 2023 due to aging. One observation car has been preserved. It will be on public display from the 19th at the "Romancecar Museum" in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where successive generations of Romancecars are exhibited. "I was sad when it retired, but I'm happy to be able to see the VSE again like this." It is also possible to enter the car at the museum, allowing visitors to reminisce about their journey on the VSE, which featured observation seats and a high dome ceiling.
