3 Mistakes When Submitting to CGC | Grading Modern Comics | Don't Try This at Home!

These were unread, unopened, modern books, I didn't even take them out of the bag. I simply inspected them through the front of the bag and submitted as a pre-screen 9.8. I am stunned at the results: 24 out of 26 came back 9.8! So here's the 3 lessons learned: 1. Only submit in batches of 25 (for large submissions). This helps save of shipping costs. CGC breaks up submissions into a maximum of 25 books each. 2. Don't submit prematurely. Some of the books I submitted were hot at the time but have totally cooled off (or died altogether). It's usually best to wait until a book has matured enough to have solid sales data. 3. Not every book needs a clean and press. This was the surprising lesson. If I'd have pressed all of these it would have been over $200 wasted because I would have gotten the same results.
