The Kazan Resource Center "Opora Heroy" (Support of Heroes) hosted the All-Russian "Red Daisy" campaign, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Tatar poet and patriot, Hero of the Soviet Union, Musa Jalil. Compatriots from Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, St. Petersburg, Lugansk, Donetsk, and Sakhalin participated in the event, according to the resource center's press service. The campaign began with a farewell address from Almaz Hazrat Sharafutdinov, Imam of the Kazan Bilyal Mosque. He spoke about the importance of moral and patriotic education in the family and emphasized the role of Musa Jalil's legacy as a personal example of service to the Motherland. Writer Rafis Kurbanov, author of the novel "Vatan" about Musa Jalil and his comrades, noted the importance of raising the younger generation with the poet's patriotic poems. Participants were particularly impressed by the performance by Vera Bakaeva, a 94-year-old volunteer and prisoner of Nazi concentration camps during the Great Patriotic War.
