Since its formation, the group has garnered attention for its powerful live performances, standing out for the forcefulness of its sound, the precision of its playing, and its connection with the audience, making its concerts true events in every venue where they are held. Their previous tour, Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar (Same Place, Different Place), was historic due to the large audiences at the 85 concerts held in 66 cities across 15 countries in Latin America, Europe, the USA, and Canada. With the concert held at La Caja Mágica in Madrid, Vetusta Morla became the first Spanish band of its genre to draw 38,000 people to a single concert. Vetusta Morla is currently touring with their latest album, Cable a Tierra, which reached number one on the Spanish album sales charts (streaming plays and physical sales) the week of its release. The album's songs revolve around themes of belonging and identity, mutual care and community, roots and transcendence. Ten original tracks in which the band explores the sounds and rhythms of folk traditions from both sides of the Atlantic, not to appropriate them, but rather to integrate them into their own sound to create new aesthetic and musical forms. It's an exercise in searching, deconstructing, including, and reviving the cultural roots of different places, coexisting with rock, pop, and electronic textures. The tour will also include songs from their previous albums: Un día en el mundo, Mapas, La Deriva, and Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar. Following their initial performances in Europe, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and Spain, and their recent nominations in three categories at the 23rd Latin Grammy Awards—"Best Pop/Rock Album" for Cable a Tierra, "Best Rock Song" for Finisterre, and "Best Long Form Music Video" for Matria—they released Bailando Hasta el Apagón (Dancing Until the Blackout) last December, their third live album: an audiovisual document capturing the entire concert given by Vetusta Morla on June 24th at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. The grand launch of Cable a Tierra: 35,000 people attended that night, a figure that is in itself a milestone for a band that was formed in complete independence and has traversed every imaginable level and venue in its almost 25-year history. To bring the show to life, the band surrounded themselves with a resident folk orchestra: a cast of eight artists from two innovative groups in traditional music, El Naán from Palencia and Aliboria from Galicia. Argentine rapper WOS surprised the Metropolitano audience by collaborating with Vetusta Morla on "Consejo de Sabios," one of the classics from Vetusta Morla's repertoire. www.vetustamorla.com / vetustamorla https://open.spotify.com/artist/6J6yx... / vetusta-morla https://www.deezer.com/es/artist/262717 https://tidal.com/browse/artist/3583877 / vetustamorlaoficial / vetustamorla / vetustamorlaoficial / vetustamorla ----------- FOLLOW US ON: Instagram: @elsentidodelabirra Twitter: @esdlbirra TikTok: @esdlb #ESDLB #ElSentidoDeLaBirra #RicardoMoya #VetustaMorla
