Beyond Goa Beaches | An Agroforestry Farm Stay | Dudhsagar Falls | Goa Road Trip - Ep 1

Our Goa Road Trip begins! 🚗🌴 After picking up our friend Pavi from Nagpur Airport, we set off on an epic journey towards Goa. The original plan was to halt for the night in Kolhapur (approximately 850 km and 14–15 hours from Nagpur), but given the long drive ahead, we weren't sure if we'd make it. However, the excitement of a Goa road trip kept our spirits high, and we finally rolled into Kolhapur just after midnight. The next morning, after catching up on some much-needed sleep, we had an easy 5–6 hour drive planned to our stay in Goa. Being in full vacation mode, we only managed to hit the road around 11 AM. Traffic and poor road conditions slowed us down further, increasing our travel time. We skipped most stops, hoping to reach our stay before sunset and explore the property, but unfortunately, we arrived after dark. Our home for the night was NV Eco Farms, an incredible agroforestry retreat nestled in the Western Ghats of Goa. Surrounded by lush greenery, the property offers jungle vibes, secluded cottages, swimming pools, adventure activities, and immersive agroforestry experiences. Since daylight was gone, we decided to simply relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. We attended a fascinating cashew roasting session, learned about the process, enjoyed a delicious dinner, and ended the evening around a cozy bonfire. The next morning, determined not to miss what the property had to offer, we woke up early and explored the farm on our own before joining a guided agroforestry tour. Our host patiently explained the workings of the farm, its diverse plantation systems, and the philosophy behind agroforestry. The entire experience was educational, peaceful, and deeply inspiring. We highly recommend NV Eco Farms for its location, hospitality, food, and unique experiences. After checking out, we headed to Kulem (Kolem) Village for our visit to the magnificent Dudhsagar Waterfalls—one of India's tallest and most spectacular waterfalls. Although we had pre-booked our entry online, we still had to wait for our shared jeep allocation before beginning the thrilling 45-minute jungle ride. A short 15-minute trek later, we were standing before the mighty falls as water thundered nearly 300 meters down the mountainside. Instead of joining the crowded pool area at the base, we found a quieter spot to sit back and admire the sheer scale and beauty of the waterfall. After spending our allotted 1.5 hours at the falls, we returned to the jeep parking area and began our journey towards South Goa. With no accommodation booked for the night, we researched options along the way and finally reserved a stay at Mosh by the Shore on Palolem Beach. Once again, we arrived after sunset, but this time the beach atmosphere more than made up for it. Palolem was lively, vibrant, and buzzing with energy. We explored the shoreline, took in the vibe, and later settled at our hotel's beachfront shack for dinner with ocean views, live music, and the soothing sound of waves. After a lavish meal, we treated ourselves to dessert from a local bakery before heading back to the beach around midnight. By then, the crowds had thinned, the music had softened, and the cool sea breeze created the perfect setting for a quiet conversation under the stars.
