Want to rip out your old carpet or vinyl floor but don't have the money to put in hardwood flooring? Using this simple DIY technique, you can give your floor a faux leather look with the tones of wood--and it's really cheap. We did the floor in the video for .50 a square foot. You use brown craft paper (like in paper grocery bags), white glue to make it lay flat, and then several coats of finish. It wears amazingly well.
