Дeva (Deva) - Live at SSR

HOTS SSR Session concert videos were first shown at our own showcase event in January 2021, organized in collaboration with IQ Magazine. ДEVA is the DIY solo project of Budapest-based Takács Dorina. Music has always played a huge role in the life of the young performer: after theatrical plays, choirs, and orchestras, she now felt it was time to start her own solo career. She writes, produces, and sings her songs, and even makes the album cover by herself. In her name "Д" like Dorina symbolizes herself, and "Eva" is after Eve, the first woman on Earth. While in some cultures ‘deva’ meant good itself, others identified the word with devilish beings. Her music guides us to an ancient land. The atmospheric soft sounds, the silky pulsating bassline, and the polyphonic mantras are spiced with the magical lyrics of Hungarian folk songs.
