Quick Tip: SIG Pistol Sight System Explained
"SIG sights aren't all that straightforward," says Brownells Gun Tech Steve Ostrem, "and getting the right one for your gun can mean the difference between hitting center-of-target and hitting way off somewhere." His colleague Caleb Savant clears up the mystery and tells us how to choose exactly the right sights for a SIG pistol. Hint: each sight has a number stamped on it. The higher the number, the higher the point of impact (POI). This rule applies to BOTH front and rear sights: higher number = higher impact (and vice versa). On front sights, each number up equals at 1" rise in point of impact. On rear sights, each number up equals a 2" rise in POI. By playing your selection of front sight against the rear, you can very precisely adjust your SIG's POI. Clear? Don't worry - Caleb explains it all thoroughly for us! A binge-watcher's paradise!
