Canon Said 9AM. Sony Said 9:30 With More Megapixels.

Canon teased a 9am Wednesday announcement and Sony jumped them 30 minutes later with a higher megapixel count — full hip-hop beef energy for the camera world. The Canon R6V is a creator-heavy hybrid built around the C50 sensor, 32.5 megapixels, 7K open gate, and finally IBIS in a body that body-style mirrors the FX3. Canon claimed 15+ stops of dynamic range, but CineD's early numbers point closer to 9.98 at base and 11.2 at the first SNR — which still lines up with how dual native ISO sensors normally behave. The $2,500 price tag is what makes this whole drop spicy, especially for any Canon shooter who was inches away from selling everything and going full Sony FX3. 0:51 Hip-Hop Beef For Cameras 2:13 Why The R6V Hyped Me 3:15 C50 Sensor Inside The Body 4:00 Dynamic Range Reality Check 4:30 SNR Dynamic Range Explained If you're building out a studio or podcast set up, this is my favorite gear to check out: My studio/everything camera - Sony a7sIII - https://amzn.to/45EpRoS My favorite studio mic - Senheiser MKE 600 - https://amzn.to/45Cf5zE My favorite podcast/dynamic mic - AT 2040 - https://amzn.to/49Ru776
