MILWR TUNNEL REPAIRS
During the summer of 2013, SES Contracting Limited were commissioned by Byzak Limited on behalf of United Utilities to undertake remedial works in Miller Tunnel in North Wales. The remedial scheme was designed by Specialist Consultants, Wardell Armstrong, following a comprehensive tunnel examination. Miller tunnel was constructed between 1897 and 1957 to drain water from the lead mines between Holywell and Mold. United Utilities are responsible for maintaining the water flow in the tunnel, which runs a distance of 10 miles between Bagilt and Loggerheads
