Roger’s magnificent, tender & soulful rendition of this spiritually beautiful song was performed at Coral Ridge. Written in 1945 by Rodgers and Hammerstein for the musical "Carousel" (film in 1956), where it is sung to comfort and encourage a widow. After becoming a 1963 hit in the UK, it became the football anthem there and around the world. Liverpool F.C. adopted "You'll Never Walk Alone" as its official motto on its coat of arms, as the words capture the best of football's essence: an expression of solidarity, community, unity, hope, and altruism.
