Jazz Drum Sets

Here is a video about the Jazz drum sets that I use to teach, practice on, and gig with. I display, play, and talk about 7 different kits ranging from very expensive to very cheap. I use mallets, brushes and sticks on all of the kits. I play several different genres and styles on all of the sets, including Jazz, Funk, Latin, and Rock. The same cymbal setup is used for all of the demos, which are all 1950s K Zildjian with a Paiste Traditional 22" swish with rivets. There is one stereo microphone used to record the audio, an AKG C24, located right over my head. There is no EQ, compression, or other processing involved, and there is no audio editing. This is so you can hear all of the sets in a raw, acoustic environment. Here are the featured Drum Sets and the times that they appear in the video.
