Opening the Vespa PX 125 Engine Cover Once you've disconnected the Vespa engine cover from the frame, it's time to open it. To do this, you'll need to unscrew various screws and bolts. The only specific tool you'll need is a flywheel extractor. If you purchase one, also consider a clutch socket. The clutch must be removed even if you decide to keep it. Once you've opened the cover, you'll need to replace the crankshaft bearings and all the oil seals. I recommend replacing all the bearings, five in total.
