Do zobaczenia w Białej Podlaskiej | W poszukiwaniu śladów historii żydowskiej

Biała Podlaska – today the cycling capital of Poland – was once also vibrant with the life of a Jewish community, which in 1921 made up as much as 65% of the population. In this film, we set out on a journey following in the footsteps of the Jews of Biała – from synagogues and schools, through the bustling Rubin Square, to Henryk Raabe’s factory and the unique Stolpersteine. You will learn, among other things: • where the Jewish synagogues, hospital, and schools once stood, • who merchant Chaim Lewi Rubinstein was, • what connects Biała with Brooklyn, • what mezuzahs, menorahs, and matzevahs are and where to find them, • what life in the ghetto looked like and the tragic story of its liquidation. It’s a short walk through Biała Podlaska in the footsteps of its former residents. Discover the city from a completely different perspective. #BialaPodlaska #TouristAttractions #JewishCulture #JewishHeritage #PolishHistory #Holocaust #JewsInPoland #HasidicJudaism #Ghetto #Synagogue #JewishTombstone #Mezuzah #Menorah #RubinSquare #HenrykRaabe #ApolinaryHartglas #Stolpersteine #JewishCemetery #Podlasie #JewishHeritageSites #ThingsToSeeInBialaPodlaska
