Gaahleri GHAD-68 Spraying and Cleaning using Tamiya Semigloss Black

Gaahleri GHAD-68 Spraying and Cleaning using Tamiya Semigloss Black I used the Gaahleri GHAD-68 pistol grip airbrush to paint Tamiya’s Semigloss Black XF-18 on a few parts that I forgot to paint the other day. The airbrush had a .5mm tip and I used 18 PSI. I do not use primers anymore with Tamiya paints and since I’ve stopped my results have been much better. I give the part a very light coat and let it dry. Then I do that again, let it dry. Then the third coat and if needed fourth coat I will hit with a heavy coat. I let it dry for a few days and it’s hard as a rock and sticks very well. Cleaning the Gaahleri GHAD-68 is a breeze. I start out by wiping out the cup. Then I will back blow some thinner through the cup by putting my finger over the tip and slowly pulling the trigger back until it starts to bubble the thinner in the cup. I’ll let that go for a bit, then I will spray it out. I usually do that twice before I start taking the airbrush apart. The Gaahleri GHAD-68 does not need any tools to take down.
