Man Âryâiam - Patriotic Imperial Iranian Song

This song, written by Dr. Fereydoun Abtin and performed by Iranian students is intended for fair use purposes and to display, in combination with other materials produced by myself, to showcase a part of Persian culture. This great work, by Dr. Abtin pays homage to the Iranian state, but also to a great figure in Iran's 19th and 20th-century history; General Hasan Arfa. With an elite European education, Arfa began his illustrious military career in the Persian Gendarmerie. He became loyal and essential to Reza Shah Pahlavi in the Southwestern Campaign of 1920. From there, Arfa rose through the military ranks and soon became a crucial political asset to the Imperial Court. His adventurous life is one worth reading on. The choice of this song is due to Arfa's involvement in defending the Persian Monarchy against the forces of Socialism and Populism. He opposed the leadership of Mossadegh by forming the Aria Party. It supported Iranian nationalism and the renaissance of Iran's glorious past. General Hasan Arfa was the leader of the party, which had an active military wing, an entourage of Imperial Iranian Army officers, led by Gen. Deyhami. Several other distinguished military leaders were members of the party. Members of the party wore gray shirts and caps. Though the party did not seem to have an official flag, the one depicted in this video is an accurate recreation of the Ceremonial Military Flag that was used to consecrate graduating members of the Persian Military Academy in the early days of Reza Shah's reign. The image on the left side is of this flag. _________________________________________________________________ Lyrics: I am an Aryan From the Birthplace of Enlightenment From the Land of Kindness The Great Spring of the River of Life The Sun of Every Sphere By the Name of the Immovable Alborz Peaks Older Matched In the Seventh Khan of the Battle of Destiny With the Night-Selling Demon Zahak the Devil Till I Break the Magic Spell of His Poison I Shall Sing It I Shall Sing It To Another Kaviani I Will Cry Out I Will Cry Out I am an Aryan!
