1X MTB Hack: 26T Ring on a 104 BCD Crank!

Ashley needed an easier climbing gear, so I decided to build one. After upgrading the cassette on her Ozark Trail Vibe, it still wasn't quite low enough for the steep trails we like to ride. Instead of buying a new crankset, I designed and machined a custom adapter that lets me mount a much smaller chainring than the stock 104 BCD crank normally allows. In this video I walk through the installation, explain how I made the adapter, and see if the idea actually works on the trail.
