Mariner 5HP 2-Stroke Outboard - Bargain or Wasted Money? - Voyage Dreams 86

I found a used 1986 Mariner 2-stroke outboard on Craigslist for $50 here in the States. Will it run? I was told that the main trouble was that the handle is broken, but knowing little about 2-strokes I figured the price was good regardless of condition because I could learn a lot in any case. In this video I step through checking the possible big issues and test to see if it will run. If I can get it to run reliably, I'll use it to power my little inflatable dinghy and use it to get to shore while traveling in my little 1983 Cape Dory 25D sailboat.
