THIS ALL TAKES PLACE DURING THE EVENTS OF AN UPCOMING INVERNO STORY TITLED EXTRAVAGANZA, AKA THE STORY THAT HAPPENS BEFORE FREAKSHOW FIASCO! For context, Ezies (aka Eric McGullen to the public) is the host to his own gameshow called Guess or Less! This game show serves as a way for Ezies to hide his criminal activities using his Eric McGullen persona to throw off suspicion effectively, which was the perfect way of balancing his double-life as a showman and thief. Why are the Elf Trio there? The main conflict of Extravaganza is that Ezies (along with his son Roseph McGullen, Gerrin, Grumpf, and Baron) had essentially managed to steal thousands of items all across the region of Cembered within the span of 4 months. This event would be known as "The Grand Heist". Victims of the Grand Heist ranged from your usual CEO or multi-millionaire, average to small businesses, to even regular citizens who did nothing wrong. Boris Elfy Winterton, John Elfus Winterton, and Orlin Summerlot were victims of this Grand Heist, with Elfy having his photo collage stolen, Elfus his antique record collection, and Orlin his prized Saxophone (which he ends up retrieving earlier in the story, explaining why he has it again in DD) + expensive musical equipment. To cut to the chase of DD, the Elf Trio had finally pinned down the last location of stolen items to Eric McGullen's Guess or Less. Additionally, since the trio were pretty well-known around Cembered by that point, Ezies thought it would be an interesting idea to set up a special sci-fi themed bonus round episode with them as special guests. Not showing up meant the guaranteed destruction of their valuable belongings, and so the trio agreed to meet up at the studio. By this point of the story the public is still under the impression that Eric had nothing to do with the recent grand heist incident, so to them it just seemed like a cool guest-star crossover episode featuring the three heroes of Cembered. And what's up with Enterprise's sudden appearance? To quote Mr. Incognito: "This is part of Enterprise working alongside Thomas Spitfire Whitlock (Cembered's renowned detective) in getting him out of the mess he's made and in the process finds out a bunch of information regarding Ezies (that he already didn't know). Figuring this out, he storms over to Guess or Less and the confrontation unfolds." "One of the other reasons is alongside the information he digs up he also figures out Ezies stole a prized item of his during the Grand Heist, that being Charlie O'Connor's (who is Enterprise's son) first broken baseball bat with a unique signature."
