34046 Braunton, 60163 Tornado and 70000 Britannia - Southall to Ropley - 22-10-13

On Tuesday 22nd October, 34046 Braunton, 60163 Tornado and 70000 Britannia, plus two support coaches, ran from Southall to Ropley, in preparation for the Mid-Hants Railway "Autumn Steam Gala" the following weekend. Heavy traffic prevented us from reaching our first planned location at West Ealing, but the 45mph speed restriction imposed on the three locos, due to them all running tender first, meant that it was easy to catch them at Barnes Bridge, followed by Byfleet & New Haw, a foot crossing near Bentley, Bentley Station, and, finally, a spot between Medstead and Ropley.
