How to Turn a Holy Land Easter Egg | Woodturning

In this woodturning video, I show how to make an easter egg made from wood from the Holy Land - Bethlehem Olive. I love the figure and grain patterns of Bethlehem Olive and this wood is certified from the Holy Land. A great project for practicing basic turning techniques with emphasis on using the spindle gouge to create beads. Learn how to use a 4-jaw chuck and other turning techniques. I mention in the video about the advantage of using the 4-jaw chuck so you can finish one end of the egg. Another advantage is is you use a 6 to 7 inch piece you can easily turn 2 eggs out of that one piece. Happy Easter and God bless!
