How To Fix STRETCHED/LEGGY Succulents 🌵✂️PROPAGATION TIPS🍃🌱

Wondering why your succulents are stretching out (etiolating)? 😱 Stretching in your succulents mean that they require more sunlight. Succulents require at least 4-6 hours of bright indirect sunlight in order to keep their tight, compact shape and vibrant colors. Most of my succulents have been slowly acclimated to nearly full sunlight for the entire day and are doing amazingly well! Though stretching is unsightly, it doesn’t mean your plant is not healthy. In fact, they are very healthy and will simply stretch and grow until they feel they are getting enough light and will start to grow tight and compact then without you doing anything at all! Cool, right?! This video is just my preferred method of dealing with stretched out succulents. Please keep in mind that I live in Hawaii where it is VERY HOT and HUMID most of the year here. We do not experience temperatures below the 50’s (Fahrenheit) on this side of the island. Also, my greenhouses make it an even more humid environment for my succulents so I do not water as often. I have started to cut back waterings to once every two to three weeks because we are experiencing our winter weather and the soil doesn’t dry out as quickly as in the summer. 🌟My number one tip is to experiment with your own plants (provided it is the right season to do so for your succulents. Remember that different types will go dormant at one point of the year) Find what works best for you and never give up on your succulents! There is always hope with these resilient little zombie plants!! I'm sorry this video wasn't anywhere near perfect, but I will be working on smoothing out the kinks in my future videos!
