IS NURSING FOR ME? MY SALARY + WHAT DO NURSES REALLY MAKE?!

OPEN FOR MORE INFO & WATCH IN HD ♡ Hey everyone! Just wanted to give some background information for those that may be new. I worked in the ICU as a new grad and quit right at 1 year for various reasons. I'm currently self-employed and also a nurse practitioner student. I don't have any plans to return the bedside, nor to a hospital as of right now. However, I do plan on returning to a nursing job soon .. something in the community with a primary care/preventative aspect, since this is my focus as a future primary care provider :) This is the real truth about BEDSIDE nursing. Nothing is sugar coated or made glamorous. Nursing is a tough job, not rewarded for the labor, and the pay doesn't add up for the amount of work you will do. You won't start seeing the $$ until you have some experience under your belt. Don't expect all the great things as a new grad. You have to go into it because you like it, or you will be disappointed! Just remember why you went into it! Also, this is NOT a bash to the nursing profession whatsoever, just the truth about the field in general.
