A HISTÓRIA DE DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN

Quantic Dream is known for producing games that prioritize narrative and offer immersive experiences. After Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain, and BEYOND: Two Souls, the French developer added the excellent Detroit: Become Human to its portfolio. Like its other titles, Detroit also provides a unique immersion, where the player's decisions can alter the course of events. The story takes place in 2036 in a futuristic version of Detroit in the United States. The city has been restructured due to the invention of androids, which are now used by humans in their daily lives. However, some androids begin to manifest human emotions, causing things to spiral out of human control. The narrative features three different arcs, where we control Kara, Markus, and Connor, three androids conceived by the fictional company CyberLife, each with different perspectives on their own existence. Detroit: Become Human was released in 2018 for PS4 and 2019 for PC. It received favorable reviews, especially for its settings, visuals, main characters, voice actors, and the impact of choices on the story. However, the main complaints were about the motion controls, blunders regarding historical data and themes addressed, as well as aspects of the plot and characters. The title was a sales success, being Quantic Dream's biggest launch to date. The game surpassed one million copies in two weeks and by July 2021, six million units had already been sold.
