Bin workers right to keep striking? Feat. Albie Amankona, Helen Dewdney & Unite | Jeremy Vine

Members of the Unite union have voted overwhelmingly to reject Birmingham City Council's new pay deal - after a month long strike. Unite says accepting it would have meant substantial pay cuts for workers - but the council maintains it's a fair deal. In the meantime thousands of tonnes of rubbish is piling up on the city's streets, with warnings of a public health emergency. Military planners have been called in and neighbouring authorities and volunteers are attempting to clear some of it.
