Using AI for Sanskrit Processing | Prof Pawan Goyal, IITKGP and Vasuki H A | Atharva Forum
In this Atharva Conversation we discuss the research being done by Prof. Pawan Goyal, IIT Kharagpur and his team of interdisciplinary researchers who are working to make Sanskrit texts more accessible. Their work combines machine learning and traditional linguistic knowledge to build an artificial intelligence system for processing ancient literature. Sanskrit has an enormous set of possibilities in each aspect of grammar, Vasuki H A discusses with Prof Goyal details and complexity around this research. The proposed AI-based system, used in conjunction with interactive tools such as the Sanskrit Heritage reader, can aid the users in easier analysis of these manuscripts with word by word analysis and translation, relation between words, poetry to prose conversion, search and question answering. Prof Goyal also shares the long-term vision that they are pursuing with this line of research. * You can write to us: atharvforum[at]gmail[dot]com Resources: a) Sanskrit Heritage site developed by Gérard Pierre Huet, a French computer scientist, linguist and mathematician https://sanskrit.inria.fr/ https://sanskrit.inria.fr/cgi-bin/SKT... b) WORD SEGMENTATION & MORPHOLOGICAL PARSING FOR SANSKRIT: About the Hackathon https://sanskritpanini.github.io/ - Follow us: YouTube channel / @atharvaforum Join our Telegram Channel: https://t.me/AtharvaForum Instagram / atharvaforum Twitter / atharvaforum FB / atharvaforum - Also watch: - Using AI for Sanskrit Processing: Prof Pawan Goyal, IITKGP & Vasuki H.
