🚴In this bikepacking video, I'll take you on a 4-day adventure through Istria, a region in Slovenia and Croatia. Istria is not only the largest peninsula on the Adriatic coast, but also offers great bikepacking opportunities. I'll try to think outside the box again and show you parts of the region you probably haven't seen before. I was on a mountain bike, but the route is also suitable for experienced gravel bikers. However, I would recommend a tire width of at least 45mm. The route is often lonely and leads through a diverse landscape: quiet forest sections, mountains like the Učka Mountains, the turquoise Adriatic Sea, and the hilly, charming inland around Motovun. A short section also runs along the former Parenzana railway line, which impresses with magnificent panoramic views over the Mirna Valley. In Part 2, the contrast between landscape, weather, and emotional atmosphere could hardly be greater.
