Milling my plastic runners for a table saw cross-cut sled always produces a lot of chips, which pile up in bags in my garage. Just throwing the chips out seems to be a waste of material, so I though why not injection mold my own parts based on the material. Luckily I was able to find Christmann Kunststofftechnik, a German company specialized in injection molding. They will take me by the hand and introduce me in all what's necessary to produce my own parts. Part one will be an introduction into injection molding. We will have a look at the machine itself and what's necessary to mass produce plastic products.
