Citric Acid Cycle | Kreb's Cycle

In this video we have discussed about the Citric Acid Cycle. The citric acid cycle also known as the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle or the Krebs cycle. It includes a series of chemical reactions used by all aerobic organisms to release stored energy through the oxidation of acetyl-CoA derived from carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into carbon dioxide and chemical energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The sole purpose of this cycle is to provide electrons to the electron transport chain when it reduces NAD and FADH to NADH and FADH2 respectively in the reactions. These are called electron carriers.
