Our journey with the KM Dobonsolo on the Ambon-Makassar route continues. The Dobonsolo is now entering the waters of Southeast Sulawesi. The journey from Ambon to Baubau takes 24 hours across the Banda Sea. Mooring at Murhum Port, Baubau, Buton Island, Southeast Sulawesi, this morning was a pleasure. We were able to observe the loading and unloading activities while the KM Dobonsolo was docked, and what's special is that this ship is capable of carrying more cargo and vehicles. This is the unique feature of Pelni's 3-in-1 ships. The KM Dobonsolo is one of two Pelni ships capable of performing similar tasks. Besides the KM Dobonsolo, there's also the KM Ciremai, which also sails the Jakarta-Jayapura route, only with different ports of call along the way.
