Hey y’all, I’m Dina Deason, and I’m so thrilled you’re here with me on Artful Living with Dina! I started this channel because I truly believe our Golden Isles community is bursting with incredible talent, and I wanted a place where we could all come together to celebrate it. Here in coastal Georgia, we’ve got gifted artists, talented designers, creative gardeners, amazing culinary artists, party planners, florists, master chefs, skilled landscapers, wonderful builders, kitchen designers, custom cabinet makers, and so many more folks who make our little corner of the world so special. I want you to know their stories—the real ones. The homeowners who’ve poured their hearts into redoing their homes with beautiful local art and supporting our own makers. These are the people we see at church on Sunday, in the carpool line at school, sharing a meal at our favorite restaurants, and waving from across the neighborhood. They’re our friends, our neighbors, and the heartbeat of this place. So I decided the best way to do this is to sit down with them, have real conversations, and let you hear straight from their hearts. Through artist interviews, home tours, design inspiration, outdoor living ideas, and entertaining tips, we’re shining a light on the talent right here in our backyard. We officially launched with a big “Let’s Flamingle” party right here at my home - a fun play on “flamingo” and “mingle” that made the perfect summer theme! I went all out with flamingos everywhere: in the planters by the front door, on a street sign I made, and at the bar we named the Flamingo Lounge. The purpose was simple—to bring our community together in a warm, joyful atmosphere where folks could mingle and really get to know one another. We screened a special launch video filled with clips that are near and dear to my heart, and the wonderful team at Three Little Birds catered it all (I chose them to keep the bird theme going, and they’ve been fantastic to work with!). Over the last few months I’ve learned so much putting this together, and it’s been a labor of love. We’re a small but mighty team working hard to bring these stories to you.
