Hiking Mt. Misen in the rain | Japan’s most peaceful island 🇯🇵

Experience one of Japan’s most beautiful hikes as we explore Mt. Misen (弥山) on Miyajima Island, Hiroshima. We visited on 22 June, during the rainy season. Even with the rain, the trail was peaceful, lush, and incredibly beautiful. The famous floating Torii Gate welcomed us as we arrived on Miyajima before we began our hike through the forest. Please note: During our visit, the Miyajima Ropeway was under scheduled maintenance, so the only way to reach the summit was by hiking. It made the journey more challenging, but also much more rewarding. If you’re planning to visit Hiroshima and love nature, this hike is definitely worth adding to your itinerary.
