Public safety agencies team up for full scale train derailment exercise
ICYMI: Huntsville and Madison County public safety agencies recently joined forces for a full‑scale train derailment exercise at Lee High School. Organized by the Huntsville-Madison County Emergency Management Agency, the drill brought together firefighters, law enforcement, HAZ-MAT teams, EMS, school officials and more to test hazardous materials mitigation, evacuation procedures and interagency communication. 🚨 Exercises like this help strengthen coordination and ensure our community is prepared—proving once again that collaboration and readiness are vital to keeping Huntsville safe.
