The Ocean Is Electric The Ocean has returned and has become illuminated with electromagnetic energy. The Nurse Shark moves side-to-side through its world sensing these waves. It is looking for prey, looking for love. It is cold-blooded but warm-hearted. This movement was inspired by the incredible research of Dr. Helen Dooley. The Ocean is Aware was created with support from the 2025 CIRCA-IMET Artist Residency Fellowship, from the Center for Innovation, Research, and Creativity in the Arts and the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology.
