Week 2 Data Based Interventions MTSS with Matt Burns

Week 2 with Dr. Matt Burns Session 2 – Targeting Tier 2 Interventions Meta-analytic research, tightly controlled research, and school-based research has consistently found that small-group reading interventions are more effective if they correctly target student needs. This interactive session will (a) demonstrate a framework to select interventions for individual students, (b) suggest research-based interventions for specific reading deficits, and (c) provide research to support the positive effects of targeting interventions. Participants are encouraged to bring their student reading data to identify interventions with a high likelihood for success.
