2015 Reminiscences of some Ceylon Burghers in the UK

A group of Burghers from Ceylon gather for a Sing-along in London to remember the lives they once led in the country they where they were born. They emigrated to the United Kingdom in the latter part of the last century following their 'targeting' by the SWRD Bandaranaike Government in Ceylon with a policy to replace English with Sinhalese as the Official Language within 24 hours if his SLFP political party being returned at the General Elections with him as Prime Minister. This started the panic exodus of Ceylon Burghers to emigrate to English speaking countries including Australia, The United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, etc.
