Metafiction, autofiction, or stories that play with the act of writing. 4. A character who is a compulsive reader or a book lover. One who represents you (or whom you envy a little). 5. A book where writing is a salvation or a curse. For better or for worse, the pen carries weight in the story. 6. A book with an unconventional structure (notebooks, notes, emails, footnotes, etc.). Where the narrative style itself is part of the literary game. 7. A book where the reader cannot fully trust what they read. Unreliable narrators, ambiguous texts, or mind games. 8. A book about writing (block, success, creation, etc.). Especially if it shows the human side of the creative process. 9. A book where books are objects of desire or conflict.
