Repairing an iMac slot load optical drive and checking out an eMachines eOne iMac clone

I came up with a technique to [temporarily?] fix iMac slot load optical (CD-ROM / DVD) drives that do not eject disks. But I've never shown off the technique. Let's see if I can do it on camera. And since we're working on an iMac, let's check out this eMachines eOne. I bought this thing in April 2025, but didn't pull it out of its box until I taking this thumbnail picture. Supposedly it was brand new. Considering it's missing the media controls cover, I don't think that's correct. But let's check it out and see what happens when we try to give it some power.
