Dr. Brian Kloppenborg is an astrophysicist and Executive Director of the AAVSO. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Physics from Hastings College. Previously, he was a Research Scientist at Georgia Tech, leading teams on government programs. Dr. Kloppenborg’s work, published in journals like Nature and The Astrophysical Journal, focuses on fostering pro-am collaboration and advancing scientific discovery in astronomy.
