He blurred the lines between masculine and feminine clothing, introducing the iconic Le Smoking tuxedo for women in 1966. This bold move empowered women and gave them a taste of traditionally male attire. Throughout his career, Saint Laurent continued to innovate. He introduced safari jackets, peacoats, and sheer blouses into mainstream fashion. He wasn't afraid to use unconventional materials like leather or vinyl. Art and music often inspired his designs. Saint Laurent retired in 2002, leaving behind a legacy of iconic designs and a lasting influence on the fashion industry.
