The ignition problem on the Dometic gas fridge has now been resolved. After checking the basics, the issue was traced to a dirty burner and a poorly positioned ignition electrode. Cleaning the burner assembly and flue removed built-up soot and debris that were preventing reliable ignition. The electrode was gently adjusted to ensure a strong, consistent spark directly at the gas outlet. Once reassembled, the fridge ignited immediately and now lights reliably on gas. Regular maintenance, including cleaning the burner and checking connections, will help prevent this issue from returning and keep the fridge operating efficiently when off-grid.
