Bavarian RC Nord 2501 Noratlas - Release video

I am proud to present the first Bavarian RC self-designed foam board model: The Nord 2501 Noratlas. The original aircraft was developed and manufactured by French aircraft manufacturer Nord Aviation. It’s been in service mainly in the French and German Airforce throughout the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. Today there is only one Nord Noratlas left in flying condition (F-AZVM), maintained by the French "Association le Noratlas de Provence" (noratlas-de-provence.com) But why did I choose the Noratlas? Besides the fact that potentially no one else has yet designed a foam board version of this plane (at least I couldn’t find one), there is another more emotional reason, as my dad designed a Noratlas back in the late 1950's as a control line model. To the delight of his mother he was building the plane on the kitchen desk. In my childhood days I was always told stories about this Noratlas and the model has in fact survived until today in the attic.
