THE HOKO | Tribal War Dance of RAPA NUI

"The Moai, they are our statues. They represent the people....They are very much related to Rugby...We have two platforms, there are the Ahu they are the 7 explorers and there is 15 Moai. Its only natural we were meant to play Rugby as an Island...." - Nicanor Machuca Haoa Matamu'a Rugby Club 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿 We are very excited for Rapa Nui Seven a Side tournament taking place this weekend. They are one of the most isolated and smallest populated Islands in the world at roughly about 7,000 people, which maybe half of are Rapa Nui natives. 7️⃣️ The Island has one Rugby team called Matamu'a and they ONLY PLAY 7s! How cool is that!? 🗿 😎 Although we would Love to be there this weekend to see the tournament take place, we will have to listen in from a far, but one day we will get to this tournament!
