Scott Wellenbach Donates More Than $600,000 to Charity
An incredible run for Scott Wellenbach ended when he finished third in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event for $671,240. The online qualifier spoke with Jeff Platt about his run, and donating his net winnings to charity. He's still in the process of deciding which organizations he'd give the money to, but some will certainly receive a nice donation. Wellenbach had quite the star-studded rail, as we spotted PokerStars Ambassadors Igor Kurganov and Liv Boeree chatting with him throughout the day. He's notched a major score before, finishing 17th in the 2017 PokerStars Championship: Barcelona Main Event, for more than $72,000. And of course, he gave all of it away.
