WA & Máxima geven galadiner voor ambassadeurs

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima received the Diplomatic Corps for a gala dinner in the Royal Palace Amsterdam on Wednesday evening. Former Queen, now Princess, Beatrix was also present. The King and the Doyen - the longest-serving ambassador - gave a short speech during dinner. This year the theme of the evening was politics and governance. The dinner takes place annually to maintain and strengthen international relations and to connect Dutch and foreign representatives on themes. In addition to the approximately one hundred and fifty foreign representatives in the Netherlands and Brussels, about one hundred representatives from the Dutch public administration were also invited.
