Why you will NEVER be fluent in Japanese
Today, I want to talk about five common excuses people use for not learning Japanese—excuses that will ultimately prevent them from ever becoming fluent in Japanese My 5 Year Japanese Journey ➡️ • i wasted 5 years learning Japanese... (wha... Reason 1: "I don't have the time." You DO have the time—you just choose not to use it for learning Japanese. If you have more than an hour of screen time on your phone that isn’t for work or language learning, then you have plenty of time. Reason 2: "I don't have any money." You don’t need any money to learn a language if you simply come up with a plan. There are countless free resources available—just take advantage of them. Reason 3: You're resource-hopping (a.k.a. "shiny new toy syndrome"). Stop jumping from one resource to another. Find something you like, keep it simple, and just do more of that. If you don’t enjoy learning Japanese, you’ll never reach fluency. Reason 4: You watch videos about learning Japanese instead of actually learning Japanese. Watching videos to find efficient study methods is fine, but don’t get sucked into an endless cycle of "learning about learning." Quickly find a method that works for you and stick with it. If you get bored, switch things up, but stay committed. Reason 5: You are not consistent. This is the most important reason on the list. You must do something every single day—no skipping. Even if you can only study a little, consistency is key. The more time you invest daily, the faster you’ll reach your goals.
